The Community Health & Social Impact Specialist serves as the administrative "front line" for CareFirst's short- and long-term community investments to advance the company's mission to pursue health equity by addressing social determinants of health. Engages employees and other internal stakeholders in giving and volunteer activities to optimize community impact. Strategically leverages CareFirst's assets, authentically engaging communities and a diverse set of stakeholders to measurably improve the health, economic, social and/or environmental quality of life in the Region.
Essential Functions
Qualifications
Education Level: Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Marketing, Business or related filed OR in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.
Experience: 3 years progressively responsible professional experience in public health or closely related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
The associate is primarily seated while performing the duties of the position. Occasional walking or standing is required. The hands are regularly used to write, type, key and handle or feel small controls and objects. The associate must frequently talk and hear. Weights up to 25 pounds are occasionally lifted.

$61,560 - $122,265
