Responsibilities

• Produce proprietary ESG research on key ESG themes affecting existing and prospective investments
• Engage with company management teams on key ESG themes, as needed
• Analyze shareholder proposals and provide recommendations on key votes to the investment team
• Conduct custom ESG analysis requested by clients, including evaluation of company energy transition plans
• Provide oversight to ensure material ESG issues are considered for all potential investments
• Develop industry and issue-specific expertise required to act as a resource to the investment team on ESG matters

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree or MBA preferred
• 2-5+ years of related professional experience required
• 1+ year working knowledge of ESG concepts and ability to synthesize a breadth of company-level ESG issues
• Experience with emerging markets (EM) a plus
• Attention to detail, demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ease in working with others and a collaborative team player

Salary & Benefits

$90,000 - $130,000 Annually

The actual base salary may vary depending on factors, including, but not limited to location, work experience, education, training, skill level, and market conditions. At Pzena Investment Management, base salary is just one component of the total compensation, which may include, year-end discretionary bonus and employee benefits.
