Join our growing European team to scale Volt’s impact in fundraising as a Major Donor Fundraiser

Volt Europa is ambitious and is looking to scale up, to do that we need to secure more funding. Our funding comes from Major Donors (High Net Worth Individuals), Foundations and crowdfunding. This role will lead the Major Donor income stream; prospecting, stewarding and maintaining a portfolio of existing and new high-value donors. Volt Europa has launched an ambitious strategy Shine 29 and this role will play a critical role in the organisation delivering this plan by helping the organisation grow and sustain our income.

‍The role:

As the Major Donor Fundraiser you will work as part of Volt’s Fundraising Team to achieve annual fundraising targets. The Fundraising team consists of one part-time Lead who you will partner up with, and a group of enthusiastic volunteers. This role includes:

• Manage a portfolio of new and existing high value relationships
• Cultivate and build new relationships: identify and engage potential donors who can support Volt’s mission
• Secure gifts from Major Donors through asks, proposals, meetings, and through the use of key Volt staff and volunteers
• Donor Stewardship: ensure that all donors, both new and existing, receive an exceptional level of stewardship, fostering long-term relationships
• Create a sense of community for donors through use of existing and additional events
• Keep the CRM up to date with all contact with donors

‍What we look for in you:

• Someone with proven experience in Major Donor Fundraising including cultivation, securing gifts of 5 figures and stewardship
• Someone with credibility and influence who can quickly build connection with donors
• Someone who can think strategically linking the political work of Volt to the interests of donors
• Someone who is really organised and can keep track of the work they do in an ordered way
• Someone with experience of using a contact management IT system
• Someone is passionate about contributing to Volt Europa’s mission
• Someone who is flexible and can work in a startup environment‍

‍What we offer you!

• A part time contract (max. 3 days a week)
• Salary range between 15-25k for 0.6 FTE (to be adjusted depending on your location and level of experience)
• You will be part of a dynamic team of staff, volunteers and interns working on fundraising
• You will work in a flexible, remote work environment where you collaborate with passionate, like-minded individuals all across Europe
