Job Purpose

The ideal candidate is a highly organized and detail-oriented individual who can successfully assist the Good Measure and Consulting teams with coordination of core Good Measure programs, data & systems management for the organization, and help ensure that internal and external customers experience a high level of customer service in their interactions with Collective Impact projects at Mission Capital.  

The Program & Events Coordinator will join the efforts of staff and board to deliver on our mission to “equip and connect mission-driven leaders, organizations and networks working to advance equity and opportunity”. This individual will bring strong project management skills, customer service orientation, and data collection and maintenance background to support a high-functioning team of consultants and community leaders.

This candidate will work closely with the Good Measure team as well as our Consulting and Executive teams to support cross-team projects and programming with a high level of attention to specifics, timelines, and data integrity. They will be flexible in nature and enjoy adapting between projects and activities.  

The Program & Collective Impact Coordinator is supervised by the Senior Manager of Good Measure – Collective Impact who will support collaborations with internal teammates, other departments, and Mission Capital staff generally.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Coordination and Support of Good Measure Programs and Collective Impact Projects (65%)

  • Serve as the operational and administrative liaison supporting the Good Measure team and Collective Impact consultants which includes: 
    • Data entry into and management of Eventbrite and Salesforce data related to the Good Measure such as: alumni lists, participants, registrations and tracking of multiple training events, processing contracts and setting up payments, ensuring client data is accurate and up to date, creating and editing events
    • Maintain and update team-wide project management processes including administration coordination and support for MailChimp, Survey Monkey, Zoom, and other designated platform/project management tools
    • Team liaison and point-of-contact for department-related Salesforce duties. Work with the Good Measure team to ensure all data is recorded timely and accurately in Salesforce. Includes collaboration with Salesforce contractor for Mission Capital to troubleshoot team needs related to Salesforce systems and interaction with other systems.
    • Prepare, distribute, collect and compile evaluations for all Good Measure programs.
    • Assist with the creation of data dashboards and other results frameworks to inform decision-making and support data reporting efforts.
  • Support the engagement and experience of alumni, clients and other Mission Capital audiences in Collective Impact experiences across Good Measure and Consulting and Customized Training audiences.
    • Coordination of event workflow for all Good Measure events and Collective Impact committees within consulting and membership audiences. Workflow may include: monitoring Good Measure inbox, attendee registration tracking, attendee email communication, tracking of pre-work survey data, and flow of event registrations to Salesforce, additional support for recruitment and engagement
    • Oversight and support of Good Measure departmental calendar and ongoing scheduling of events with Senior Manager, Consultants, and affiliates ensuring alignment and confirmation with course presenters, marketing and communications and other departments as needed.  
  • Provide coordination support and project management among cross-department work.
    • Review, prepare, and send invoices for Affiliate Consultants and Contractors supporting the departments work in collaboration with the Finance Department.  
    • Track and support finance reporting for programming costs and department growth in collaboration with Finance Department.
    • Coordinate with marketing for email and outreach logistics. Support the development and accuracy of marketing materials including updating and proofing email content, creating links, and updating branded decks and flyers.
    • Standardize cross-team reporting and tracking practices
  • As needed, additional inbound support of administrative duties which can include email and mail inbox monitoring, financial tracking tasks and data and records upkeep.

Virtual and In-Person Events Management, Support and Administration (25%)

  • Provide coordination and support for virtual events. Responsibilities include: creating and ensuring virtual meeting space (ZOOM), ensuring attendees and speakers can access virtual meeting space, pre-event communication about logistics and resources
  • Provide coordination and support for in-person events. Responsibilities include:  confirming in-person event space and logistics, managing catering and vendors, communication with attendees and speakers about event, ensuring adequate resources for event (supplies, set-up and copies).
  • Collaborate with the Program and Events Coordinator as needed to support organization-wide events, cross-team programming and determine and execute additional coordination duties
  • As needed, serve as backup for day-of event activities, including liaison for vendors, attendees and presenters, setting up of training space (either virtually through ZOOM or in-person), including coordinating with speakers for handouts and AV needs, evaluations and communication with participants for day of support related to access and logistics.  

Mission Capital General Support and Thought Leadership (Approx. 10%)

  • Participate as a full member of Mission Capital’s team, adhere to core values, attend staff meetings, participate at Mission Capital events, and coordinate collaborative activities with other departments as needed.
  • Pursue personal development to enhance skillset, improve knowledge of collective impact principles of practice and strategies to achieve social change.
  • Design and implement a personal professional development plan designed to enhance skills and expertise in strategic collaborations, cross-sector decision-making, and system leadership.
  • Deliver presentations to community and other groups on Mission Capital’s thought leadership topics as requested.
  • Participate in professional groups related to work/position and stay current on industry and sector trends.
  • Blog writing and thought leadership as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Two to four years of experience as a Coordinator or similar role (education can substitute for work experience according to the below guidelines).
      • An Associate degree may be substituted for the required experience on a year for year basis with a maximum substitution of 2 years.
      • A Bachelor’s degree may be substituted for the required experience on a year for year basis with a maximum substitution of 4 years
  • Experience providing high quality customer service and coordination support for a team or department.
  • Experience with data entry or records maintenance
  • Experience with virtual and in-person events management (administrative and logistical support)
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, a CRM system (preferably Salesforce) 
  • Experience in managing virtual workspace to support meeting/event platforms, multi-media outlets and various databases (Salesforce, Membership Works, MailChimp, Survey Monkey).
  • Proven record of providing coordination and support while prioritizing competing demands in a fluid environment with multiple goals and deadlines.

Position Status: This is a full-time, exempt position

Virtual Office: Mission Capital currently operates in a remote/virtual office setting. This position will also work remotely with occasional in-person work support events in Central Texas (assumes 1-2 times a month) and participating in All-Staff and team meetings throughout the year (assumes 4 times a year). This position will need to be based in Central Texas as in-person events support and administration will be required 1-2 times a month in Central Texas.

Salary

The salary range for this position is $45,000 - $50,000 annually and is negotiable depending on experience.
