Pathways Program

At One Bead, our mission is to close the opportunity gap in Boston. Central to this mission is our Pathways Program, which aims to inspire and empower young students by bringing diverse leaders into classrooms to talk about their careers. Each session is structured as an interactive workshop with a youth-led Q&A followed by a practical skill-building activity linked to the speaker’s role and industry. The Role

As a Program Director, you will lead One Bead’s Pathways Program in schools, coordinating with teachers and school leaders, recruiting and preparing guest speakers, and facilitating student-led interviews with guest speakers in the classroom. Key areas of focus include actively engaging students in learning, broadening their exposure to diverse career paths, and contributing to the creation of culturally affirming learning environments within Boston Public Schools.

The successful candidate

• Has experience in event planning and execution.
• Possesses strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Can collaborate with a team and work independently.
• Has experience working with youth.
• Can tailor learning experiences to diverse student needs.
• Exhibits excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Is proficient in data management.
• Demonstrates cultural sensitivity and awareness of institutional challenges faced by low-income communities.
• Has experience working in the Boston Public Schools (preferred).
• Has reliable access to a computer, internet, and transportation (required).
• Is proficient in both Spanish and English (required).

$65,000 - $70,000
