Building on a lifetime of public service, President Clinton established the Clinton Foundation on the simple belief that everyone deserves a chance to succeed, everyone has a responsibility to act, and we all do better when we work together. For nearly two decades, that premise has energized the work of the Foundation in overcoming complex challenges and improving the lives of people across the United States and around the world.

As an operating foundation, we work on issues directly or with strategic partners from the business, government, and nonprofit sectors to create economic opportunity, improve public health, and inspire civic engagement and service. Our programs are designed to make a real difference today while serving as proven models for tomorrow. The goal of every effort is to use available resources to get better results faster – at the lowest possible cost.

We firmly believe that when diverse groups of people bring resources together in the spirit of true cooperation, transformative ideas will emerge to drive life-changing action.

The Clinton Foundation is committed to public health and to the safety and wellbeing of our colleagues, visitors, and volunteers.  As such, we have adopted a policy requiring all employees whose positions require them to be on site to be vaccinated against COVID-19 or to meet the legal guidelines for an exemption.

About the Role

The role of this Senior Community Manager, Entrepreneurship is to cultivate and foster CGI’s entrepreneurship community. This happens in two ways- first, the development of Commitments to Action designed to support entrepreneurs as part of the Inclusive Economics teams work; second, in the project management of CGI’s Greenhouse program which recruits and supports an annual cohort of social entrepreneurs around the world and engages potential funders, venture capitalists, angel investors, and supporters.

The Senior Community Manager will recruit and maintain a network of leaders in the field, promoting innovative ideas and solutions, offering relevant programming at CGI meetings, and brokering connections between and among CGI partners. The Senior Manager will also support members by identifying potential partners and resources, advising on gaps and opportunities in the project concept, and bringing visibility to the project. After the Commitment to Action is developed and underway, the Senior Manager will work with members to obtain annual progress reports. The Senior Manager will also work closely with the other teams at CGI to plan and execute convenings. The role will involve both domestic and international program development, commitments to action and support services.

The Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) convenes global and emerging leaders to create and implement solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges. • Identify and advise CGI/CF on emerging trends that could be applicable for commitments to action and/or programming for CGI convenings.

Project Management of CGI Greenhouse Platform

  • Support in the recruitment of entrepreneurs and social innovators as participants and potential funders, venture capitalists, angel investors, and supporters.

External Relationship Management

  • Provide relationship management and service to key network stakeholders, proactively engaging in CGI events, brokering partner connections, and providing additional support to their work on an as needed basis.
  • When appropriate, partner with the Clinton Foundation development team to support sponsorship proposals or other development asks to help sustain the work of CGI.
  • Attend conferences and other networking functions to recruit organizations to the CGI network.

There will be other duties assigned.

  • Experience in developing cross-sectional partnerships and multi-stakeholder engagement strategies. Some international experience
  • Deep knowledge of international development/social impact landscape, with particular insight into key players and trends
  • Experience in fundraising or sponsorship cultivation a plus
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship building skills
