About
I consider myself lucky that, since that very early in my university studies in International Relations, I quickly discovered the professional area I wanted to dedicate myself to and the vocation that I had. This realization awakened a strong desire to focus myself on analytical and critical thinking, allowing me to learn how to create value for society through international projects with real impact. I also understood that diving deeper was key in this field, which led me to specialize in International Business.
My professional background has been shaped through diverse work experiences that have helped me to pursue my vocation, ranging from on-site work with the NGO 'Techo' to overcome poverty in Latin America, to member of the political section of Canada’s embassy in Venezuela, and finally transitioning into the corporate sector.
For past six years, I have been working in the Enel Group, as team member of the sustainability department. I am currently responsible for managing, consolidating and reporting the annual results and impact of the company’s investment in key issues such as governance and strategy, biodiversity, and social inclusion. These results are reported in the Non-Financial Information Statement, highlighting the company’s progress towards achieving its SDG targets, specifically goals 7, 4, and 8.
This role has helped me understand how the private sector plays a key role in advancing the SDGs. I am willing to step beyond the corporate environment and become an active agent in promoting transformative sustainability efforts within international organizations.
