About
Hello there!
My journey hasn’t been linear. I have wanted to pursue law for as long as I can remember. A fascination for this complex subject that seemed so appealing became my chosen career path. I resisted my parents’ suggestions to pursue another program simply because I had made up my mind. However, somewhere between my initial excitement in joining law school and the multiple assignments and activities that came with it, I realized I had lost the interest I once had. The last two years of law school were a struggle for me as I tried to complete my assignments and perform well in every semester’s exams to graduate as a lawyer.
Through this challenging period, I found a spark in human rights, gender justice, and environmental issues. Deciding that a postgraduate degree would help strengthen my profile, I pursued a master's in public policy to expand my understanding of socio-economic issues and policy papers in addition to my legal background. After five years of law school, I finally began enjoying my coursework and committed to a career in the impact sector.
I joined a boutique social impact consulting firm in India as an intern, and I continue to work there as an Associate two years later. These early years of my career have provided me with significant exposure to the private sector's role as a catalyst for advancing sustainable development, particularly for women and girls, as well as climate initiatives. Here, I have worked on projects involving landscape studies and enterprise support programs aimed at promoting gender integration and gender-lens investing for investors and fund managers. I also contributed to a crucial agricultural project where I supported the team in strengthening and bolstering the agri-tech ecosystem in an Indian state.
I am now seeking a new role in the impact sector where I can leverage my academic and professional background to contribute to causes related to gender inclusion, financial inclusion, and climate-smart solutions. I genuinely enjoy connecting with people, traveling, and engaging in a good mix of desk-based research and writing.
If my profile interests you, please reach out. I am eager to explore a potential fit.
