About
I am a PhD-trained Senior Social Scientist with over 10 years of experience working at the intersection of policy, agriculture, conservation, and land reform in Southern Africa. My work focuses on applied policy analysis, impact evaluation, and participatory research, translating complex social and human-environment dynamics into practical, evidence-based recommendations for government departments, research councils, and development programmes.
I am currently part of a multidisciplinary team that undertakes socio-economic research within a national research institution, contributing to policy reviews, monitoring and evaluation frameworks, and gender and social inclusion mainstreaming. I have also worked as a consultant on regional and multi-country assignments, including SADC Transfrontier Conservation Areas (TFCAs), programme reviews, and knowledge management initiatives.
I have authored and co-authored peer-reviewed journal articles, technical reports, and applied policy publications, and I regularly engage the general public and community stakeholders through research communication via various media platforms and event facilitation.
