In this role, you will work Slalom Public and Social Impact teams across 35+ markets to help us compete more effectively through developing more efficient proposal responses, marketing content, and business development processes. This role is critical to helping Slalom grow its Public Sector business.

What You’ll Do

Slalom’s Public and Social Impact team is looking for a Copy Writer to work collaboratively with our regional teams, local market leadership, and subject matter experts across our capability areas to create, edit and review Public Sector Request for Proposal (RFP) responses. Key activities include:

• Collect and evaluate information from stakeholders to create compelling RFP responses.
• Interview SMEs, review interview transcript and write sections of proposal from that interview.
• Create and manage reusable proposal solution and past performance content.
• Collaborate with SMES to develop technical content that is clear, descriptive, and user-oriented, and ensure RFP response quality to improve overall Public and Social Impact business development scale and efficiency.
• Participate in pursuit team reviews and update technical content based on team feedback.
• Capture best proposal content for reuse in our RFP management tool.
• Research key industry trends to better inform service delivery and messaging.
• Participate in national and regional Public and Social Impact meetings as required.

What You’ll Bring

• 1+ years of relevant technical writing and editing experience.
• A track record of successful collaboration with SMEs, multiple teams and key stakeholders.
• Story telling abilities in creating more impactful RFP responses on Slalom’s vision and approach to our work in the Public Sector.
• Excellent and dynamic verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with people at all levels.
• Excellent written communication skills, including plain language.
• Ability to translate highly technical information into clear and concise language for professional audiences.
• Experience editing and proofreading to deliver documents free of grammatical or style errors.
• Attention to detail and ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities at once.
• Expertise in Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat.
• Knowledge of RFP or content management tools (like Loopio, Qvidian, or RFPio)

Compensation and Benefits

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the base salary pay range is $65,000-85,000. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.

Limited to no travel is required for this role. Work will be performed remotely or in your local Slalom office.
