Equitable Foundation’s Social Impact team seeks a collaborative, strategic, team-oriented individual to help evolve and implement the Foundation’s strategy and the impact of Equitable’s non-profit partnerships, while also participating in the activation and communication of established programs.

To advance Equitable Foundation initiatives, the individual should have knowledge in the formal and informal structures, practices, and processes that include civic participation, constituency-building, and community and nonprofit engagement.

The ideal candidate would be able to help anticipate how Equitable’s grantmaking evolves to realize the benefit and impact when we bring our big systems as an overall organization into view. He or she will also support Equitable on several other internal initiatives to increase engagement and overall awareness of Equitable Foundation funding priorities and key areas of focus. The team is responsible for measuring and reporting the company’s impact and driving engagement through internal and external initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in tracking key performance indicators (KPI) dashboard for collecting engagement data and sharing our success to the broader organization.
  • Analyze and assist with Social Impact KPI metrics and statistics to identify usage trends and opportunities to build additional engagement.
  • Work with Equitable Foundation leadership on all charitable giving within key geographic footprints
  • Represent Equitable Foundation with community-based organizations (CBOs) by reviewing opportunities and encouraging engagement while fostering relationships and connecting on initiatives held by philanthropic organizations.
  • Assist in all aspects of planning CBO’s volunteer and engagement events, working with non-profit partners on program objectives, internal and external stakeholders event coordination, and execution. Research potential future engagement and activation ideas, vet nonprofit organizations, and make recommendations for future partnerships based on key areas of focus and key markets.
  • Serve as a resource for Equitable colleagues seeking to learn more about volunteering, donations, and other ways to become more involved in the Equitable community engagement efforts.
  • Manage cultural organizations for employee benefit; manage relationships and keep information up to date on internal sites and requests.  
  • Participates in/on a variety of meetings, committees, taskforces and/or other related groups to communicate information regarding Foundation and its initiatives
  • Liaison between DEI initiatives and Equitable Foundation. Meet regularly with Employee Resource leaders, promoting engagement and activities within the social impact team.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.  Preferred area of study: Business, Sustainability, Environmental Social Governance, Diversity and Inclusion/Communications, Marketing or other Corporate Social Responsibility related education
  • 2+ years of experience in community, philanthropy, social impact, corporate social responsibility or corporate citizenship role or relevant experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, Excel, MS Word, and Power Point

  • Ability to travel when needed (20%)

Salary & Benefits

The base salary range for this position is $68,000 - $102,000.  Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.
