Organization Description
GirlVentures is a 501c(3) non-profit whose courses are designed to offer youth ages 11-17 an opportunity to develop outdoor skills and environmental awareness, explore identity and social justice, and expand their leadership capacity to become emboldened agents of change in their communities. Our summer expeditions include camping, backpacking, rock climbing, sea kayaking and take place in Point Reyes National Seashore, the Redwoods, John Muir Wilderness/Sierra National Forest, and Inyo National Forest- Mt Langley. They are 7-14 days in length and there are 6 course's uawX per summer.
*Our programs include participants who identify as cis female, gender non-binary or transgender.
Position Description
GirlVentures is seeking 1-2 self-motivated and detail-oriented individuals to manage the logistics for our multi-day summer expeditions, under the direction of the Program Director. The successful candidates will have experience working both collaboratively and independently, have big-picture vision and be able to train and delegate tasks effectively. This position plays an integral role in the success of GirlVentures courses. Candidates must demonstrate competency and interest in the responsibilities set forth below. Our ideal candidate will have a flexible approach to work hours/schedule, understanding that gear and food must be prepared efficiently and accurately before a course departs. This means working long days in the office packing food and gear, working many weekend days for course starts and finishes and working several long days in the field doing course re-supplies, with some possible overnights.

Compensation
Daily rate of $170/day for 50-60 days of work between May 17-August 17, 2023. Must be able to work most weekends and some mornings and evenings.
