Why is this role Important?

The Program Manager will handle all program implementation for Launch Girls’ government partners, Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Society (TSWREIS) and Telangana Tribal Welfare Residential Educational Society (TTWREIS), headquartered in Hyderabad and operating across the state of Telangana.

We seek a Program Manager (PM) for our multi-year programming with all girls entering the TSWREIS and TTWREIS colleges. The candidate should be fluent in English, Telugu, and Hindi. The Program Manager will launch and manage the intervention for all 30 TSWREIS and 15 TTWREIS colleges, serving up to 10,000 adolescent girls annually. This role will include travel to rural colleges scattered across all state districts. The Program Manager will be the liason between the knowledge partner, Launch Girls, and the implementing partners, TSWREIS and TTWREIS, to ensure effective program implementation. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about girls' economic empowerment and has experience with training and program implementation. This is an excellent opportunity to work on systemic change with government institutions.

Role and Responsibilities

Recruitment, Onboarding, and Training

● Support TSWREIS and TTWREIS to onboard colleges, especially key decision-makers and points of contact within the college.

● Recruit and onboard Program Coordinators to support implementation at all colleges.

● Plan the recruitment and onboarding of facilitators implementing the Girl Boss programs.

● Organize and help conduct pre- and mid-program facilitator training with the Master Trainer.

Program Management

● Oversee printing and distribution of program materials to the colleges.

● Provide ongoing program implementation support for the facilitators, principals, Program Coordinators and POC.

○ Conduct session observations and share feedback.

○ Offer program-related WhatsApp support to the facilitators, colleges, and program coordinators as and when needed.

○ Organize and conduct the monthly learning and discussion sessions for the facilitators either in-person or online.

● Support the facilitators in organizing and conducting program events like showcases and graduation ceremonies.

● Support the facilitators in conducting sessions for participants’ parents.

● Provide capacity building, troubleshooting, logistical or other support, and feedback to the facilitators, colleges, Program Coordinators and POC for smooth program implementation.

Data Collection and Reporting

● Collect progress, impact, and feedback data from the facilitators, principals, Program Coordinators, POC and decision makers.

● Maintain internal dashboards to monitor college, facilitator, and participant progress, needs, and feedback.

● Work with TSWREIS and TTWREIS team to collect qualitative and quantitative impact assessment data from colleges.

● Conduct in-depth discussions and focus groups with all stakeholders to identify areas for improvement.

● Source photos and videos during the program and impact stories after the program.

● Create reports on program implementation.

Relevant Experience and Qualifications:

You have / are

● Bachelor's degree required, Master’s Degree preferred

● Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience across training, operations, and program implementation roles within government institutions, nonprofits, social

enterprises, or for-profit companies. Preferred experience with organizations focused on women and girls’ empowerment, social development, and/or entrepreneurship

● Strong interpersonal skills; building and maintaining strong relationships with partners and facilitators to support them through successful program implementation

● Experience conducting training for 10+ people is highly preferred

● Strong organizational skills and ability to use contemporary project management tools when trained

● Ability to work effectively and professionally in the field and virtually for partner meetings and site visits

● Good written and verbal communication skills. Fluency in English (spoken and written), Telugu (spoken), and Hindi (spoken)

● Comfortable travelling to rural parts of Telangana

● A critical thinker and proactive problem solver with meticulous attention to detail

● Ability to work individually and collaboratively with flexibility, enthusiasm, efficiency, and diplomacy in a cross-cultural environment

● Able to handle multiple priorities and deadlines and be flexible and responsive in addressing the needs of a fast-paced environment; self-starter and internally driven

● An understanding of the issues impacting girls’ economic independence globally and can demonstrate a commitment to realizing the vision and values of Launch Girls

● Most importantly,....passionate about global gender equity and improving the lives of adolescent girls around the world

Compensation

INR 50,000-80,000 per month commensurate with experience, and additional reimbursements for travel and outstation visits.

Duration and Start Date: This is a 12-month contract starting in May 2024. We are open to extending the contract based on the performance of the Program Manager and

the partnership status.
