Position Overview

The Communications Manager will support Education Reimagined’s efforts to elevate its voice and influence in the education innovation space.

This remote role involves developing compelling narratives, managing content and social media strategies, and engaging diverse audiences to build a community of practitioners, partners, and supporters.

The ideal candidate is a skilled writer, storyteller, and social media strategist passionate about education reform and systems transformation.


Key Responsibilities

Content Creation & Publishing:
Support and manage communication projects, serve as managing editor for the “Voyager” newsletter, ensure brand consistency, and coordinate content calendar and publishing via HubSpot.

Social Media & Community Engagement:
Manage social media channels to increase awareness and engagement, develop content, support team social sharing, and analyze metrics to optimize impact.

Collaboration & Project Management:
Coordinate with team members, partners, and contractors to develop and distribute content, support organizational campaigns and events, and stay informed on education trends.


Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years experience in communications, preferably in education or mission-driven organizations.
• Strong writing and editing skills, with experience in thought leadership and long-form content.
• Proven success managing social media channels and creating engaging content.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with teams.
• Deep interest in learner-centered education, equity, and systems change.

Preferred Skills

• Experience communicating complex ideas clearly and accessibly.
• Familiarity with HubSpot or similar CRM tools.
• Experience centering underrepresented voices in messaging.

Additional Details

• Education Reimagined operates fully remotely but requires at least four trips per year for team meetings, site visits, and conferences.
