OneGoal transforms postsecondary advising and support so that every student can define their own future. Together with our partners, we’re building a movement to close the opportunity gap. We work side-by-side with partner schools and districts to build their knowledge and capacity. The result is more equitable and effective support for all students. Our unique approach, honed over 15 years, prioritizes strong human relationships. And it’s proven to deliver real student impact. 81% of OneGoal high school graduates enroll in a postsecondary institution, and 73% of those students persist one year after high school graduation. An independent study by the University of Chicago found that OneGoal students are about 40% more likely to earn their postsecondary degrees than students from similar backgrounds. The Person

The primary goal of this role is to achieve high levels of partner satisfaction with all who come across OneGoal in its first year in a new region. This is most important at the school level where the student impact will be held through supporting the Program Directors leading the class. Partner satisfaction and success in the classroom will help establish brand recognition and credibility with school and district leaders, postsecondary institutions and community organizations and businesses.

You will do this by:

Providing differentiated support to Program Directors  to ensure strong program delivery in service of our students’ pursuit of their highest postsecondary aspirations (40%)

• Build trusting relationships with Program  Directors and leverage training, observations, and 1:1 coaching as the key drivers to influence your portfolio of teachers to deliver the OneGoal course and maximize student impact
• Provide ongoing support to Program Directors to ensure they feel affirmed and supported to customize the OneGoal experience of their Fellows to fit their school’s context
• Collaborate with Program Directors to develop and implement data-based short-term and long-term  strategies to meet year-end goals
• Collaborate with our internal team to develop professional learning and training for teachers that is based in culturally relevant practices and trains them to best leverage the OneGoal curriculum in their classroom, with a particular focus on blended learning using our learning management system

Analyzing data to inform your coaching and training strategy (20%)

• Collect both quantitative and qualitative data and use Salesforce, PowerBI, and OneGoal’s My Options Tool for analysis and reflection, to inform adjustments to your coaching and training strategy
• Communicate progress to goal trends and insights to relevant internal stakeholders

Collaborating with regional and national staff, committing to aligned strategies to achieve our team’s  program outcomes (20%)

• Review  curriculum, provide feedback and seek opportunities to modify to fit local postsecondary landscape and opportunities
• Consistently participate in role applicable staff development opportunities provided by the National Program Team. This includes our OneGoal Staff Experience online training modules, Summer & Winter Program training, and working groups
• Engage in cross-team collaboration to work on special projects and regional goals

Building the OneGoal brand and community presence (20%)

• Support brand awareness efforts, including attending external events,  building relationships with external entities and individuals and communication and marketing efforts

Qualifications:

• Lived experience of the Fellows we serve (Preferred)
• Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred)
• At least two years prior teaching experience or working in direct service with young people with demonstrated results (Preferred)
• Experience developing curriculum (Preferred), experience with high school level curriculum (A Plus).
• Experience coaching teachers (Preferred)
• Experience with blended learning (optional); experience with Canvas or other online learning management systems (A Plus).
• Knowledge of higher education, college and career readiness processes and standards (Highly Preferred)
• Knowledge of El Paso and larger Texas education landscape (Highly Preferred)
• Position requires travel to school partners in El Paso and occasional travel to other Texas cities; a valid driver’s license + access to a vehicle is required (Required)‍

The Tangible Good

Salary Range: $72,000- $72,809 is the hiring salary range (i.e. the range a candidate would be offered to start).  

OneGoal offers competitive compensation based on the market for nonprofits our size. Our benefits package* includes: over eight weeks of paid time off (or 43 business days), between vacation days, wellness time, and holidays; paid medical or parental leaves should you have need; medical, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, and life insurance; as well as a 401(k) with a 3% match.

We believe in compensating staff members fairly in relation to each other, their qualifications, and their impact on behalf of the organization, and take internal and external equity seriously. Given our commitment to equity, OneGoal does not negotiate salary offers; instead each salary offer is determined carefully using external and internal benchmarking.
