About CREO

CREO is a NYC-headquartered not-for-profit with a mission to mobilize and catalyze high-impact capital to drive the necessary transition to a low-carbon, sustainable, and prosperous future for all.

To achieve our mission, CREO works with a large ecosystem of global stakeholders, including Members (wealth owners, family offices, and family enterprises), Affiliate Members (select institutional and corporate investors), and Partners (aligned investors such as pension funds, university endowments, or private equity; government; not-for-profit organizations; and academia).

We facilitate investment in sustainability by helping large asset owners and our membership community, to build knowledge and confidence via shared insights, research, and programming that focuses on the question of 'how' to invest in the decarbonization transition.

About Strategic Initiatives and the Position

In 2024, CREO set out to grow its impact beyond its four Core Activities to tackle enduring gaps and friction points in sustainability finance. Using strategic collaboration with sub-communities of members, partners and select stakeholders, CREO will innovate and implement solutions to challenges at the crossroads of sustainability and capital markets.

Established Working Groups to date include First of its Kind (FOAK) Project Financing; Future of Food; Financing Nature-Based Solutions; and Derisking Emerging Markets. Other areas of focus include working with our next generation wealth owners through our Rising Leaders Group and leading DevU, a program to uplevel C-Level executives of climate startups on project development and finance. Current partnerships with institutional asset owners include a two-year partnership with the Net Zero Asset Owners Alliance (NZAOA) and a 5-year partnership with the Investor Leadership Network (ILN).
