Grassroots Organizer (with Civic-TechFocus)
Location: Washington, D.C. / Virginia
Compensation: $120/hour | Approx. 10 hours per week

About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic grassroots organizer with a passion for civic engagement and technology. This short-term, part-time position is ideal for someone experienced in field organizing who is eager to deploy innovative tools like MyVoiceCounts, a secure and anonymous protest mobilization app, to dramatically expand organizing power while keeping participants safe.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with protest leaders, community organizers, and advocacy groups to onboard them to the MyVoiceCounts platform.
• Train local teams in using digital tools for secure, real-time protest mobilization.
• Build and manage protest campaigns that harness both physical and digital activism.
• Use data analytics and real-time stats to report on campaign reach and credibility.
• Maintain relationships with partner organizations, coalitions, and influencers.
• Ensure all digital engagement respects user anonymity and ethical guidelines.
Qualifications:
• 3+years of experience in grassroots organizing, civic engagement, or digital mobilization.
• Demonstrated experience using tech tools to drive activism.
• Strong communication, training, and outreach skills.
• Ability to work across diverse communities and sensitive political contexts.
• Commitment to safe, scalable, and ethical forms of protest.
