Europe

Collective Abundance is a movement-building initiative that engages philanthropic funding as a tool to help strengthen the Climate Justice ecosystem across Europe. Our work aims to shift and expand funders' perspectives on what it means to resource Climate Justice work in Europe, while nurturing a collective consensus amongst fellow organisers that is so loud it begins to shift the narrative and discourse of the general climate movement towards one of climate justice.

The Influencing Philanthropy working group is one of two main working groups of Collective Abundance. The working group is responsible for funder-focused advocacy, fundraising and educational engagement in line with our mission to expand understandings of climate justice amongst funders, move more resources to grassroot organisers and use philanthropic funds for systemic change, understanding that this may require creating systems of care and repair.
