About the Role 

The Programs Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of Insight’s international student travel programs. This is a full-time, operations-focused position responsible for overseeing program execution, guiding a team of coordinators, and maintaining high-quality partner and participant experiences. The Programs Manager is assigned a specific region for which they are responsible for managing local partnerships, program budgets, and proposal development, in addition to managing programs coordinators. 

This role also collaborates closely with supervisors to troubleshoot challenges, improve systems, and support team alignment. The Programs Manager participates in Insight’s Crisis Response Team CRT and may be asked to facilitate programs in the field as needed. 

This is a remote position with some evening and weekend work required. Occasional domestic or international travel may also be expected. 

Key Responsibilities 

Regional Program Oversight 

● Serve as the primary lead for a designated region, managing relationships with local partners, maintaining accurate program budgets, and preparing high-quality proposals and itineraries. 

● Ensure program content and logistics reflect Insight’s values, standards, and risk management protocols. 

● Build and maintain long-term relationships with vendors and community partners. 

○ This may include some travel to international destinations to further enhance or develop relationships.

Program Delivery & Operations 

● Review and refine program proposals, itineraries, and budgets in collaboration with your supervisor. 

● Monitor program timelines and progress, ensuring milestones are met and operational issues are addressed proactively. 

● Track and analyze program data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement. 

● Maintain program documentation, tools, and systems to support smooth delivery and consistent quality.

Team & Partner Support 

● Conduct weekly check-ins with Programs Coordinators to provide coaching, support, and oversight. 

● Contribute to facilitator assignments, evaluations, and program preparation processes. 

● Support relationship management with new and existing partners, ensuring a high standard of communication and service delivery. 

● Collaborate with your supervisor to uphold team alignment and accountability. 

Program Facilitation & Crisis Support 

● Facilitate student travel programs as needed, particularly in the assigned region or during program launches. 

● Participate in Insight’s Crisis Response Team CRT as part of the on-call rotation, responding to real-time issues in the field. 

● Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Insight’s emergency response protocols.

Role Requirements

● 5+ years of experience in management and operations.

● Demonstrated project management and personnel management experience.

● Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage complex logistics and timelines.

● Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

● Comfort working independently in a remote environment.

● Availability to work some evenings and weekends, based on program needs. 

● Willingness and ability to travel (domestically or internationally). 

Additional Assets 

These are not required, but may strengthen your application. 

● Experience with international program facilitation. 

● Experience working within the education sector. 

● Experience working within the travel/tourism sector. 

● Familiarity with the UN Sustainable Development Goals is a plus. 

● Fluency in a second language; Spanish, French, Mandarin, Arabic. 

● Project management training/certifications.

Compensation

$70,000–$85,000, or commensurate with experience
