Rocket Social Impact is a rapidly growing national social impact agency. We are seeking a dynamic intern to help us drive meaningful results for our purpose- driven corporate and nonprofit clients. The right candidate is passionate about social impact, interested in growing their career in the space and will be ready to roll their sleeves up and support our team in areas such as research, landscape analyses, monitoring industry trends, agency operations and strategy development as we help brands and nonprofits unlock their potential, activate opportunity and share their purpose-driven story.

Who We Are

We are a “challenger agency” for brands and organizations that want to challenge the traditional approach. Our focus is on all things social impact and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy, implementation and communication. We are a team of experienced social impact strategists and communicators empowered by our love of working with companies and nonprofits with a desire to disrupt the status quo and achieve both better business and greater good.‍

Intern Responsibilities

• Support account team in conducting research, competitive analyses and building out prospect lists for client deliverables
• Assist the development of client-ready plans, presentations, and documents
• Drive CSR and social purpose industry research projects, as needed
• Support marketing team to build outreach strategies and content development
• Lead additional auxiliary projects, as needed

You Are/Have

• An active college or graduate student, currently enrolled at an accredited university, OR a recent graduate (within the past 2 years)
• A fire-in-your-belly kind of passion for helping companies and nonprofits drive social impact and create change
• A tendency to zig when others zag
• A baseline understanding of the corporate social impact landscape
• Experience or a desire to work in CSR, marketing, fundraising or PR/communications
• An entrepreneurial spirit with a desire to take on a wide variety of roles and “get scrappy” in a fast-paced, start-up environment
• Skilled at overseeing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines
• Exceptional problem-solving and communications skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Proficiency in the Microsoft suite
• Strong interpersonal skills and a “no drama” approach

Internship Duration: June through December with potential to continue through Spring semester

Time: 10-15 hours per week
