The Role

Are you a recent graduate passionate about making a difference? Join us as a Sustainability Assistant and be part of a dynamic team driving forward our ambitious sustainability strategy.

This varied role provides a mixture of data, administration and project support; and is an excellent opportunity to put your sustainability passion and knowledge into practice to create real change.

Your responsibilities as a Sustainability Assistant will be:

  • Collate, process and analyse data accurately to improve sustainability performance and support Net Zero, compliance, and reporting goals
  • Support communications in sustainability, including drafting presentations or content for internal updates, reports, or external profile pieces
  • Co-ordinate and support sustainability projects for example in employee engagement, training, best practice, sales support, and Net Zero
  • Provide general administration - organise and maintain sustainability records as required and in alignment with compliance regulations
  • Research and summarise clearly key topics to support strategy development and insight within the team and wider business
  • Creatively and proactively contribute to team innovation conversations to advance progress for sustainability

About You

  • Passion and enthusiasm for sustainability and making positive change
  • It would be beneficial if you have a university degree in a relevant subject such as Geography, Environmental Science, or Sustainable Business, but it is not essential
  • Knowledge and understanding of sustainability issues and how they might impact businesses and supply chains
  • Capability to analyse quantitative data with attention to detail and ability to identify trends, issues, and opportunities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills – able to convey information clearly to a range of audiences
  • Able to work independently with good organisation, initiative and time management skills
  • A team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across the business.
  • Excellent administration skills – able to organise and maintain team emails and SharePoint files
  • Demonstratable experience in using Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel
  • It would be beneficial to have experience in customer service/administration roles
