Are you a proactive, organized, and people-oriented HR professional looking to make a meaningful impact?

We are seeking an energetic HR Officer to join our Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EME) Area Office team in Bratislava. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing end-to-end recruitment, streamlining HR administration, and supporting the complete employee lifecycle across an international mission-driven organization.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage the full recruitment cycle, including creating recruitment advertisements, sourcing candidates, screening applications, conducting interviews, and facilitating the onboarding process.
* Administer all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including new hire paperwork, record maintenance, and processing of employee changes.
* Handle absence management, including tracking leave requests, maintaining accurate records, and communicating with employees regarding policies.
* Provide comprehensive human resources administration support, ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant employment laws.
* Assist with payment handling related to HR functions, such as processing payroll inputs and managing employee expense reimbursements.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
* Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.

* Support with event organization (logistics planning, support with visa applications) and other tasks

Our requirements:

* Bachelor´s degree in Human Resources Management, Economics, Administration, Public Policy/Administration, or other similar discipline

* At least 2 years of experience in HR (ideally in a generalist role)

* Fluent in Slovak and English

* Strong administrative skills

* Excellent communicator

* Computer Literacy in MS Office

* Ability to assertively tackle issues and handle these from start to finish

* Proactive approach and ability to work independently

* Strong service and client orientation and professionalism in writing and speaking

* Ability to prioritize and good orientation to detail

* Cross-cultural sensitivity and ability to communicate effectively with people from different backgrounds

* Experience with an HRIS preferred

Hiring Range:

The actual salary offered for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including location, internal equity and the candidate’s qualifications and professional experience. HFHI offers a competitive, comprehensive benefits package that varies by country and typically includes vacation leave, sick leave, personal days, health insurance options, retirement plan contributions and life insurance.

For work locations in Slovakia, the minimum monthly gross pay starts at:

€1 500,00 EUR
