Account Executive Job Description

Overview

We are searching for a part-time, remote Account Executive who is energized by the opportunity of contributing to the growth of our client portfolio at a key stage in vChief’s growth. As an Account Executive, you will be charged with the entire client lifecycle, from nurturing opportunities through managing and growing our existing client portfolio. You will act as a strategic advisor to founders and leaders, ensuring they are maximizing the value of vChief services while identifying opportunities to expand our support as their organizations evolve. The schedule for this role will be 20 hours per week over 4-5 days a week.

Our Organization

Founded in 2016, vChief is focused on connecting business leaders with fractional and interim executives and support to meet their unique needs. We recruit, select and vet proven subject matter professionals with experience spanning from, but not limited to, HR, business operations, project management, strategy, board management, communications/marketing and development. vChief provides fractional and interim services to leaders and executives at start-ups, small and medium businesses, non-profits and education-based organizations. This support model is perfect for leaders who need to focus on large strategic initiatives and maximize their impact across the full organization, but don’t need permanent or full-time capacity. Bottom line – fractional executives and supporters are there to get the job done, providing the benefits of specialization and experience to meet a variety of needs.

Responsibilities

Manage a pipeline of opportunities sourced by outside Business Development Representative, Marketing team, and other inbound channels.
Provide consultation to founders and CEOs on how fractional executives can support their business; present a tailored solution and define a bespoke scope of work to meet each leader’s unique needs
Present vChief candidates to prospective clients, prepare candidates for client interviews, and guide both clients and candidates through the interview process to maximize their chances of closing the opportunity
Follow up regularly with clients to ensure the health of their vChief engagement and address any emerging issues as they arise
Identify opportunities for vChief to expand support within current client organizations
Represent client feedback and trends in internal meetings to improve vChief’s service offerings
Diligently track communication and progress to goal in our CRM (Zoho), navigate and leverage other internal tech systems, and adopt new systems as needed to achieve goals
Develop strategies to cultivate clients in a diverse array of sectors, including healthcare, education, politics, community development, and mission-driven organizations
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

5+ years professional experience, at least 2+ years of experience in Sales, Account Management, or Client Success required
Experience working in sales in start-up, staffing, or human resources environments preferred; experience with selling to C-suite leaders in healthcare, professional services, and/or tech preferred
Demonstrated ability to have nuanced conversations about business needs with leaders across a diverse range of industries
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
Strong record of setting and achieving ambitious goals

Compensation

Compensation for this role includes a base salary of $36,000 and an uncapped commission structure, with total on target earnings of $55,000. This position will also be eligible for a work from home stipend, unlimited vacation, retirement savings, long- and short-term disability, and life insurance coverage.
