About the Role
We’re hiring Analysts to join client-facing teams that support government agencies. In this role, you’ll contribute to projects that span data analysis, strategic planning, and tech-enabled innovation.
As an HRG Analyst, you have 2+ years of relevant experience, which may come from outside of consulting. You take full ownership of a client workstream under the close guidance and oversight of HRG leadership. Your primary responsibilities include developing, refining, and iterating on client deliverables, engaging in structured problem-solving, conducting research and analysis, leveraging cutting-edge technology (including AI) and contributing to team discussions.
You are based in the Washington, D.C. metro area – ready to collaborate on-site with teammates and clients when it moves the mission forward – and just as effective working remotely when in-person time isn’t essential.
Responsibilities
• You will own and drive a discrete client workstream with mentorship from senior team members
• You will analyze qualitative and quantitative data to support strategic recommendations
• You will conduct structured research on policy, technology, and organizational issues
• You will use tools like Excel, Python, or Power BI to develop compelling analysis, visuals and insights
• You will contribute to written deliverables and client presentations
• You will participate in internal team problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration
• You will support proposal development and knowledge building initiatives
Qualifications
• 2+ years of relevant experience in consulting, public sector roles, or adjacent fields
• Familiarity and passion for government clients and mission-driven work
• Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills
• Strong proficiency with Excel and at least one analytics or visualization tool (e.g., Power BI, R, Python, PowerPlatform, etc.)
• Demonstrated comfort and proficiency with artificial intelligence and emerging technologies
• Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and intellectually curious
• Bachelors degree or equivalentNice to Have
• Experience supporting agencies like VA, HHS, DOD, or other federal health/civilian entities
• Exposure to AI/ML tools or concepts (e.g., prompt engineering, NLP, data pipelines)
• Familiarity with Agile, human-centered design, and digital delivery in government
• Masters degree in relevant field.
Salary Range
$85,000 - 95,000
