Job Summary
In line with our strategic priorities outlined in the WINGS 2023-2027 Strategic Plan, and especiallyStrategic Priority 2: Influencing philanthropy’s norms, practices and environment, and strengtheninga global and unified collective voice and action, the Senior Associate, Influencing the Field, willwork with and support the Head of Climate and the Head of Collective Intelligence and Action inthe design and implementation of activities and engagement plans. As a short-term parental leavecover, this role is well suited for a motivated professional who thrives on connecting ideas, people,and processes, and is looking for a dynamic international role where they can make a contributionover a defined period.
Responsibilities
The Senior Associate will support both the Philanthropy for Climate and Collective Intelligence andAction portfolios and will play a key role in ensuring effective project management support anddelivery content coordination and knowledge sharing; community and stakeholder engagement;and platform maintenance.
Main areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to:
Programme and Project Support
● Support programmes’ cycles across initiatives, including design, implementation,monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.
● Support portfolio leads to implement project plans and timelines, and track successindicators.
● Coordinate activity planning, task tracking, and internal workflows to ensure timely deliveryand alignment with strategic goals.
● Maintain up-to-date project documentation, tracking tools, and knowledge managementfiles.
Knowledge Curation and Dissemination
● Support the development of knowledge products such as research briefs, case studies,stories of transformation, reports, and articles.
● Prepare materials, presentations, and contributions to publications and grant deliverables.
● Help strengthen knowledge flows across the organisation through effective curation anddissemination of insights.
● Update portfolio digital platforms (WINGS Knowledge Hub, Philanthropy for Climatewebsite, and PTI platform), curating resources, maintaining event listings, trackingsignatories, and delivering timely, accurate, and engaging content.
Community Building and Stakeholder Engagement
● Handle the onboarding and communication flows for signatories of the International Philanthropy Commitment on Climate.
● Support the coordination and engagement of communities of practice and committees, including Philanthropy for Climate national hosts and others.
● Liaise with WINGS members, partners, and networks to encourage participation in activitiesand consultations.
● Work closely with internal teams to support member engagement strategies and ensuresmooth information flow across departments.
● Coordinate events across portfolios, including webinars, workshops, meetings, andcapacity-building sessions.
● Support programme development, content curation, and speaker logistics forproject-related events and committee meetings, ensuring relevance, accessibility, andstrategic alignment.
● Support the planning of WINGSForum and other organisational convenings.
Operational Support and Internal Coordination
● Support preparation of reports, internal updates, project work plans, and other documentation.
● Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of grant-related tasks, renewals,and reporting templates.
● Participate in cross-team strategic conversations and contribute insights toorganisation-wide initiatives as assigned.
Requirements
This is a parental leave position for a full-time contractor for 04 months (mid-February to mid-July2026. The candidate can be based anywhere, as long as they are willing to overlap with the working hours of the United Kingdom and Canada.
A successful candidate will have the following:
● Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., social sciences, internationalrelations, public policy, nonprofit management, or related disciplines).
● 4+ years of professional experience, preferably in program support, research, or knowledgemanagement roles.
● Familiarity with philanthropy, civil society, climate change, or social impact ecosystems(even if adjacent).
● Fluency in English, with excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
● Strong project management and organizational skills, including the ability to managemultiple tasks, timelines, and stakeholders.
● Global mindset, with openness to cultural diversity and working across geographies andtime zones.
● Proficiency with digital tools, including Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and emergingAI tools, and the ability to adopt new tools quickly in ethical and transparent ways.
Preferred Qualifications (Asset but not required)
● Experience conducting qualitative research or basic data analysis, including synthesizingfindings for reports, case studies, or knowledge products.
● Experience with grants support, such as reporting, or managing grant-related documentation.
● Additional languages, especially widely spoken global languages (e.g., Spanish, French,Portuguese, Arabic), are a strong advantage.
Compensation
Compensation for this position ranges from USD 10,000-12,000 for the full period (USD 2,250 -3,000 per month) and will be based on several factors, including the applicant's geographic location.
