Position Summary
The Seasonal Membership Sales Assistant will serve as an important point of contact for Sanctuary visitors and members, with a primary focus on driving membership sales, strengthening Corkscrew’s membership community, and supporting member experiences and programs.
Working at the Blair Visitor Center, the Seasonal Membership Sales Assistant will engage with visitors and members, promote the benefits of membership, initiate new membership sales, respond to membership inquiries, and facilitate guest entry for special member programs. The position will work closely with the Volunteer and Membership Manager to support membership experiences, events, programs, and promotions.
This is a part-time, seasonal position working 25 hours per week and based in Naples, Florida.

- Hours: 25 hours per week
This role is on-site at Audubon’s Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary in Naples, FL.
Compensation:
$19.00 / hour

Essential Functions
- Respond to membership inquiries from visitors and members in person and by phone.
- Promote, sell, and renew memberships by effectively communicating membership benefits and opportunities.
- Engage with visitors and members to build positive relationships and strengthen their connection to Audubon.
- Identify and share ideas to enhance the member experience and strengthen member engagement.
- Assist with member events and programs, including early morning and evening programs, as needed.
- Support the development and delivery of member activities and experiences.
- Support donor cultivation efforts by promoting giving opportunities and encouraging ongoing support of Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary.
- Assist with admissions and/or the Nature Store, as assigned.
- Assist with end-of-day facility closure, including clearing the boardwalk of visitors, as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Maintain and foster a culture of safety
Qualifications and Experience:
- GED or high school diploma preferred and 1-2 years of experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
- Experience in customer service, sales, communications, or programming and event support.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment and professionally represent Audubon to the public and volunteers.
- Self-motivated to engage with visitors and members of diverse backgrounds and make sales.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Very organized, with the ability to multi-task.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products and comfortable working in databases.
- Interest and commitment to the mission of the National Audubon Society, and ability to communicate Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary’s mission, goals, and programs effectively to the public.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and some holidays.
- Ability to lift up to 15 lbs. and traverse at least 3 miles in a variety of weather conditions with or without accommodation.
