The Opportunity
The Executive Director serves as the organization's chief leader, fundraiser, and public representative. This individual will oversee day-to-day operations while driving strategic initiatives that expand awareness, engagement, and support for those living with Parkinson's Disease.
What You'll Do
- Lead fundraising, donor development, and stewardship activities
- Identify and cultivate new funding opportunities, sponsorships, and community partnerships
- Collaborate with the Board of Directors on strategic priorities and governance matters
- Oversee budgeting, financial management, and organizational performance
- Represent HPA at community events, meetings, and public engagements
- Expand volunteer recruitment, retention, and engagement efforts
- Provide leadership for programs, special events, and outreach initiatives
- Foster relationships with healthcare providers, nonprofits, corporations, and community stakeholders
- Support long-term organizational growth and mission advancement
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree required
- Five or more years of nonprofit fundraising, community relations, executive leadership, or comparable experience
- Demonstrated success building donor relationships and securing financial support
- Strong background in partnership development, public engagement, and relationship management
- Experience leading strategic planning and organizational initiatives
- Financial and budget oversight experience
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Passion for mission-driven work and community impact
- Knowledge of Parkinson's Disease or related healthcare communities is helpful but not required
Position Details
- Location: Honolulu, Hawaii residency required; occasional interisland and mainland travel anticipated
- Schedule: Full-time with flexibility to attend evening and weekend events as needed
- Hybrid
Compensation & Benefits
$75,000-$90,000 annual salary, depending on qualifications and experience, plus performance-based bonus opportunity.
Comprehensive benefits package included.
Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related considerations.
