About ChangeX
We have built a platform to connect communities to proven ideas and funding to scale impact sustainably. Our mission is to empower people everywhere to change their communities for the better by making it easy for them to access the ideas, funding, and support they need.
With our support, great ideas like Ecosystem Restoration, Education for Sharing, Revolusolar, Play Action Box, Open Orchard, and Community Fridge are being adopted by communities across the world.
More than 35,000 community projects have started through ChangeX, scaling 285+ proven ideas and positively impacting more than three million people.
Our business model, Impact as a Service, makes it easy for funders to invest in the ideas they want to spread in the regions they care about most. Our partners include Microsoft, The LEGO Foundation, ServiceNow, and Amazon, among others.
ChangeX is growing its presence across Central and Latin America, helping more communities in the region launch and scale proven, community-led solutions. One example is our community-driven climate action program, supported by the Inter-American Development Bank Lab, which is bringing proven climate solutions to communities in Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Panama.
As we consolidate our model in the region, we have an opportunity to build a stronger pipeline of community-led initiatives and scale solutions that are already showing impact. We are looking for funding partners to help us grow this platform, mobilize more resources, and reach more communities across Latin America.
This role
This is a senior role sitting at the core of our Partnerships team, reporting to the Partnerships Team Lead (currently our CEO) and working closely with our Impact and Product teams.
It’s targeted: finding the right partner prospects (corporates, foundations, and development finance institutions) and working those relationships from multiple angles until they convert. You’ll personally build and own a portfolio of qualified opportunities at any given time. You will be responsible for building multi-million, multi-year funding partnerships with companies, foundations, and governments to spread social and environmental innovations across Central and Latin America.
You will have a steady-state target of USD 8 million per year from year two onwards for Central/Latin America (this represents a combination of funds for communities and ChangeX fees). In year one, you will have a critical deliverable as part of our climate program with the Inter-American Development Bank to secure USD 800,000 in direct funding in 2027 for climate mitigation and adaptation solutions in the five targeted countries of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Panama.
In this role, you will
- Build and personally work a targeted list of major corporate, foundation, and/or DFI prospects – with Latin America as a primary impact focus, whether the prospect is headquartered in the region, the US, or Europe.
- Find the right entry point at each target partner using your own network and ChangeX’s, and represent ChangeX in the conversations and at the events that open those doors.
- Design tailored proposals connecting a prospect’s own social and environmental impact priorities in Latam to ChangeX’s models.
- Own each stage of the partnership cycle personally – prospecting, qualification, proposal, negotiation, close – then hand over cleanly to the Impact team for execution and reporting.
- Be personally accountable for managing relationships and growing your partnerships long-term, working closely with the Impact team once partnerships are signed.
- Bring market intelligence back to the team on sector trends, funder priorities, and where ChangeX’s model has the strongest potential to win.
- Maintain accurate, current pipeline records so progress is visible to you and the wider team.
We are looking for people who have
- 5+ years of experience in partnership development, with a demonstrated track record of personally originating and closing multi-million, multi-year partnerships, not just managing them once they exist.
- Proven, concrete experience raising significant funds specifically for Central America and Latin America with an established network of relevant contacts and a clear track record of results in this geography.
- The ability to deeply understand a partner’s goals and constraints, then shape a proposal that fits within ChangeX’s model with a clear value proposition for partners.
- A genuine appetite for hands-on opportunity and partnership origination. This is a daily prospecting and relationship-building role.
- An established personal network across multinational companies, foundations, and the broader impact ecosystem in the US, who are deploying funds in Central America and Latin America.
- An entrepreneurial track record – comfortable building a pipeline and a case for ChangeX.
- High social and emotional intelligence, and genuine ease representing ChangeX to senior external stakeholders.
- A demonstrated commitment to community-driven social or environmental change, with strong empathy and ethical fibre.
- Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
- Availability to travel as needed to meet with prospective funders, strengthen key relationships, and participate in relevant events.
*We encourage you to apply if you believe your skills and experience are a good fit for this role, even if you don’t tick every box above. When making hiring decisions, we aim to be inclusive and look beyond checklists. We want to find people who bring fresh perspectives and want to grow with our organisation.
Benefits
- 25 paid holiday days per year plus flexible hours
- Flexible working options: remote, in-office, or hybrid
- Annual performance-related bonus
- Pension scheme after 6 months of employment (dependent on location)
- Basic health insurance plan (dependent on location)
- Annual team retreat
Recruitment process
If this role interests you, please complete this application form by October 23rd. We will begin reviewing applications as they are received, so we encourage you to apply early.
