The Community Engagement Coordinator plays a pivotal role in connecting Chari with the community. Responsibilities include organizing outreach events, collaborating with local partners, and implementing initiatives to raise awareness and involvement in our projects.

Job responsibilities

Lead environmental sustainability initiatives, ensuring alignment with Chari's mission.
Develop and implement strategies to reduce the organization's environmental footprint.
Collaborate with community partners and stakeholders on eco-friendly projects.
Monitor and report on sustainability metrics, promoting awareness within the organization.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in grant writing, fundraising, and donor relations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are crucial, along with a strategic mindset and the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Previous experience in the non-profit sector is preferred.

Qualifications

Degree in environmental science, sustainability, or a related field.
Practical experience in sustainability program development and implementation.
Knowledge of environmental regulations and best practices.
Strong project management skills.
Commitment to promoting sustainable practices for a better future.
