The Role

The Senior Manager, Youth Leadership & Partnerships designs, scales, and leads Act To Change’s youth leadership platforms to reach 10,000+ youth nationally while generating credible impact data and leadership pipelines. This is a remote position that requires the Senior Manager, Youth Leadership & Partnerships to be an organized, natural self-starter. This individual will work with a strong orientation to systems-level thinking, project management, and the ability to anticipate and communicate problems to ensure that Act to Change can have an even greater impact for the students, families, and communities we serve. The Senior Manager, Youth Leadership & Partnerships reports to the Executive Director.

The Senior Manager, Youth Leadership & Partnerships will be an essential driver in realizing our strategic plan with a primary focus on supporting the organization to reach the following goals laid out within our Youth Leadership pillar:

Impact 10,000 youth through leadership development programs that equip youth with the skills to disrupt harm in their communities
Support and grow 75 student-led clubs focused on bullying prevention and cultural empowerment
Form 50+ partnerships that focus on AAPI youth leadership development
Launch and sustain an alumni program to activate former participants as mentors, storytellers, and leaders

The Organization

Act To Change is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization working to end bullying for Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) youth. We envision a world where all youth, including within the AAPI community, have the opportunity to grow up feeling proud and supported in the development of their identity and sharing of their stories.

What started as a landmark White House initiative in 2015 has evolved into an inspiring, youth-centered organization that ensures AAPI voices are at the forefront of the movement for belonging and inclusion. Act To Change was born from the urgent need to highlight the issue of bullying in schools across the country. While bullying is a universal struggle, AAPI youth often face unique cultural, religious, and linguistic barriers that keep them from getting the help they need, including South Asian, Muslim, Sikh, Micronesian, and English-learning students who are disproportionately targeted.

Today, we don’t just advocate for AAPI youth, we tap into their power as leaders and center them as architects of a world without bullying and hate. By placing young leaders at the forefront of our mission, we are transforming schools and communities where belonging is the norm. In a world where hate and bullying continues to rise, our work remains a vital source of hope and inspiration for AAPI youth, unlocking their leadership and working alongside them to create a world where every student feels safe, celebrated, and empowered to be their authentic selves.

The Person

As the Senior Manager, Youth Leadership & Partnerships, you will spearhead the strategy, scaling, and operational excellence of our national youth leadership portfolio. You will be responsible for aligning quarterly priorities with long-term growth goals, managing key stakeholder relationships, and building the data infrastructure needed to track program efficacy. From overseeing daily implementation to developing mentorship pathways, your work will ensure that our mission reaches thousands of youth with rigor and consistency.

Program Strategy & Execution (50%)

Strategic Leadership: Own the vision and growth of all core programs and initiatives (incl. Youth Ambassadors, district partnerships, national activations) aligned with national mission goals.
Scalability & Design: Build repeatable, high-quality program models that expand reach while maintaining participant experience and integrity.
Operational Management: Develop annual roadmaps, manage capacity planning, and supervise contractors, interns, and volunteers.
Continuous Improvement: Lead data-driven iterations based on participant feedback and emerging best practices.
Cross-Functional Execution: Direct program-track planning for large-scale organizational events and national activations.

Youth Ecosystem & Partnerships (25%)

Partnership Stewardship: Build and manage a national ecosystem of schools, districts, youth-serving orgs, and alumni to ensure long-term sustainability.
Collaborative Growth: Execute joint programming and coordinated engagement strategies to deepen community impact.
External Representation: Serve as a key ambassador in external coalitions and field-building spaces focused on youth empowerment and belonging.

Impact & Evaluation (15%)

Framework Design: Partner with leadership to define success metrics (e.g., reach, engagement, belonging, upstander efficacy) aligned with bullying prevention best practices.
System Management: Maintain robust systems for tracking national program reach, outcomes, and longitudinal impact.
Data Translation: Convert complex impact data into actionable insights for organizational strategy, grant reporting, and high-level storytelling.

Collective Storytelling & Collaboration (10%)

Narrative Development: Transform program data and youth testimonials into compelling content for fundraising, donor reports, and board updates.
Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with external partners, brands, vendors and leadership on storytelling campaigns to amplify the organization’s voice.
Organizational Health: Contribute to collective success through team meetings, professional development, and data management to ensure cross-departmental alignment.

The Must-Haves

Prior Experience

5+ years of experience in youth programming or leadership development, with at least 2 years at the mid-to-senior level (Required)
Lived experience of the youth and communities we serve (Highly Preferred)
Prior startup experience (Highly Preferred)
Prior experience working directly with schools and school districts to implement youth programs (Highly Preferred)
Prior experience working in nonprofit organizations (Preferred)
Prior management experience

Location

Remote (preferred Los Angeles, Chicago, New York)

Salary Range: $80,000 – $90,000
