About the Role

Position: Regional Coordinator (Part-time - at least 50% FTE) | Remote for Asia-based candidates

Duration: Fixed term position of one year (with 3-month probation) and subject to renewal

Honorarium: 500 USD/month for 50% FTE (inclusive of communication & local travel allowances)

Key Responsibilities

You will:

Coordinate & Support: Oversee core Secretariat functions and maintain active communication with the Steering Committee and regional networks.
Amplify & Communicate: Disseminate updates, draft official statements, and manage AIPNEE’s website and social media channels.
Logistics & Advocacy: Provide technical and logistical support for Indigenous representatives participating in regional and global meetings.
Network & Protect: Build networks and partnerships and ensure the strict safekeeping of organizational records.

Candidate Profile

Strong preference will be given to applicants from Indigenous groups (with priority for women and youth) and those from AIPNEE's member/affiliate or partner organizations.

Core Skills:

Knowledge and experience in working on Indigenous Peoples’ issues.
Excellent organizational and financial management and critical thinking skills.
Strong writing and communication background (drafting reports, research, or policy statements).
Ability to work independently in a flexible, cross-regional remote environment.
