Giving What We Can (GWWC) is seeking a Partnerships Associate to support and expand our global network of partner organisations promoting the 🔸10% Pledge and 🔹Trial Pledge.

As a key point of contact for our fast growing network of ~40 partners, you will support our partners to better promote giving pledges and increase pledge signups, as well as build new successful partnerships.

Your impact in this role

By ensuring that partners are set up for success, your work will grow the global community of pledgers meaning more people giving effectively to the world’s most pressing problems. If successful, you will directly cause at least hundreds of thousands of dollars per year in additional donations to go towards fighting extreme poverty, ending factory farming, and reducing global catastrophic risks affecting current and future generations.

About GWWC

Giving What We Can (GWWC) is working towards a world without preventable suffering or existential risk, where everyone is able to flourish. We do this by making giving effectively and significantly a norm.

Founded in 2009, we are best known for the 🔸10% Pledge, where over 10,000 people have committed to donating at least 10% of their lifetime income to highly effective charities. Our larger community of pledgers and donors currently gives ~$80M USD annually, of which GWWC processes and grants ~$40M through our own donation platform.

We've set ourselves the audacious goal of reaching 1 million pledgers donating $3B USD annually to high-impact charities, and we’re currently growing at ~40% every year. The current ~17 FTE global team is mission-focused, with strong commitment to our team and community values.

About our partnerships programme

Launched in 2024, our partnerships programme supports partner-led pledge growth. In 2025, with 0.5 FTE, we doubled both the size of our partner network (to ~40) and partner-inspired pledges (to ~400). You’ll drive the next growth stage, aiming to double partner-inspired pledge sign-ups again in 2026 (to ~800). You will work closely with Lucas Moore to meet these ambitious targets by scaling a well-defined programme (with existing insights and playbooks). We expect that these additional ~800 pledgers will go on to give ~$40M over the lifetime of their pledges.

Key Responsibilities

Partner Success

Maintain strong partner relationships (20%)

Serve as a key point of contact for 40+ partners and build trusted relationships with their teams and leadership.
Ensure partners continue to actively promote pledges by providing proactive and reactive support, addressing needs promptly and to a high standard.

Drive pledge growth with existing partners (50%)

Support our partners in doubling their annual rate of pledge sign-ups.
Act as a consultant to partners, working in focused two-week sprints to understand their organisation, audiences, and engagement channels, and to design and implement practical, tailored strategies to increase pledge sign-ups.
Provide hands-on support to partners, including optimising landing pages, drafting pledge communications in their voice, and developing key touchpoints across their campaigns, programmes, and products.
Convene and host online sessions to share best practices and enable peer learning across the partner network.
Track the performance of pledge promotion activities, distil insights into clear, replicable playbooks, and develop our system of shared support resources.

New Partner Development

Identify and onboard new partners (30%)

Identify potential new partners aligned with GWWC’s mission.
Engage prospective partners (inbound and outbound) and effectively communicate the value of a pledge partnership.
Lead onboarding for new partners, providing clear guidance, resources, and early support to set them up for success.

A day may look like this

You start the day by reviewing new 🔸10% and 🔹Trial Pledge sign-ups that came in through partner organisations overnight, reading pledgers’ motivations and seeing the direct impact of your work. You spend some time planning your day and prioritising what you want to get done today before joining a daily team stand-up to say hi to the team, unblock anything urgent, and share your priorities for the day.

You then spend the first couple of hours preparing for and running a discovery call with a current partner you’re supporting through a two-week sprint. You meet with their leadership team and work together to deeply understand their organisation, audiences, and typical user journey. Drawing on insights from other partnerships and from across the GWWC team, you help them think through how to meaningfully upgrade their pledge promotion in a way that feels authentic and achievable.

After the call, you refine a practical implementation plan for the partner. Building on the conversation, as well as desk research you’ve previously done, you identify four approaches that have worked well for other partners that you think could translate effectively with some adaptations. You sketch out concrete next steps: tweaks to their landing page, new pledge touchpoints in their programmes, and a draft email written in their voice for review and approval.

After lunch, you review the attendee list for an upcoming conference and do some shallow research to assess whether partnerships with any of the attending organisations could be valuable. You draft tailored outreach emails that clearly explain the partnership opportunity and what’s in it for them and their audience.

Later in the afternoon, you prepare for and have a 1-1 check-in with your manager to touch base, report on progress against key metrics, discuss goals for the week, give and receive feedback for continuous improvement, and flag anything that needs attention. In this meeting you outline a potential new approach to further increase partner pledge growth on the basis of something you’ve noticed working with two new partners.

You end the day responding to partner queries on Slack. You notice that one question could have implications for other partners and may require input from our research team. You let the partner know you’ve seen their message and coordinate with the research team to get a research-backed and thoughtful answer.

Background in consulting or similar roles that involve quickly understanding new contexts and driving results within them.
Ability to track, measure, and improve outcomes using data (e.g. spreadsheets).
