Role Summary
The Script and Language Expert will support the interpretation, translation, and documentation of manuscripts in specialized scripts/languages, ensuring accuracy and cultural authenticity.
Key Responsibilities
- Read, interpret, and translate manuscripts in the selected script/language
- Assist in transcription and documentation of historical texts
- Support digitization and cataloguing processes
- Verify linguistic accuracy and authenticity of content
- Collaborate with research and conservation teams
Requirements
- Expertise in at least one listed script/language
- Background in Linguistics, Literature, History, or related field
- Experience in manuscript reading or translation (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and research skills
