Overview
The Philanthropic Engagement Associate is a full-time exempt position and a member of the Philanthropic Engagement Team at Triangle Community Foundation. The position reports to the Director of Donor Engagement. This position is instrumental in ensuring that Triangle Community Foundation provides exemplary customer service to internal and external stakeholders, provides front-line stewardship to donor advised fundholders, and administers the weekly grants distribution process. Essential Responsibilities
Donor Engagement
- Provides high level, executive responsive service reflective of Foundation service standards that addresses customer need in a prompt, friendly, and efficient manner; approach customer issues with a positive attitude and with the intention of anticipating service needs of Foundation constituents and providing solutions that mitigate customer issues.
- Serves as initial point of contact for external inquiries from individuals, families, nonprofit agencies, or businesses to the Donor Services’ main telephone line and email.
- Co-manages a portfolio of Donor Advised Funds, Agency Funds, and Designated Funds, providing administrative and logistical support to fundholders.
- Conducts donor stewardship outreach via email and phone that supports Triangle Community Foundation donor engagement strategy.
- Assist in managing logistics of Donor Engagement functions, such as event coordination, invitations, and materials, as needed.
- Manages and audits database for strong data integrity.
- Provides tech support for donor portal access and inquiries
Philanthropic Engagement
- Performs administration in CSuite database (CRM), including overseeing, tracking, and updating donor profiles.
- Assists Philanthropic Engagement team with internal documentation and data entry.
- Provides administrative and logistical support for intra and inter-departmental projects as needed.
- Provides fundraising campaign support and outreach.
- Performs donation analyses, stewards processes, and communicates with donors.
- Provides project support for intra and inter-departmental projects as needed.
- Develops, documents, and implements process steps for new fund creation activities.
- Provides support to fellow Philanthropic Engagement Associate during the weekly grants process, including due diligence.
- On a monthly basis, monitors grants for trends and staff-influenced grants.
Qualifications & Attributes
- Commitment to the Foundation's goals, values, and mission.
- Two- or four-year degree preferred.
- Minimum of two years of experience working with nonprofit organizations or in the philanthropic sector.
- Minimum of three years of continuous experience in customer or client services.
- Certification of Customer or Client Services preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Share Point).
- Strong proficiency in a customer relationship management (CRM) system.
- Strong organizational skills to balance multiple projects and deadlines, including the flexibility to adjust activities and priorities and take on new responsibilities.
- Willingness to work a hybrid schedule as determined by the needs of the organization and external stakeholders; in-person schedule may be asynchronous.
- Excellent judgment and ability to think independently.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with Foundation stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to adjust activities and priorities and take on new responsibilities.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and to lead with solutions: true service focus.

Compensation And Benefits
- The salary range for this position is $60,500 - $66,500.
