We are looking for a motivated Business Development Director to create awareness and connect more seniors with the support they need to thrive at home.
Job Summary:
The Business Development Director is responsible for growing the agency's presence throughout Jefferson County and surrounding communities. This role focuses on building and maintaining strong relationships with referral sources, attending and organizing community events, developing strategic marketing initiatives, and overseeing client growth strategies. The ideal candidate is highly organized, self-motivated, relationship-driven, and passionate about serving the senior population.
Responsibilities:
- Build, maintain, and grow relationships with hospitals, senior living communities, physician offices, rehabilitation centers, and other healthcare providers.
- Attend community outreach events.
- Organize, host, and participate in agency-sponsored events.
- Develop and manage marketing strategies (print, digital, and grassroots outreach).
- Conduct presentations to promote Seniors Helping Seniors' services.
- Track, manage, and report lead sources, referral activities, and new client acquisitions.
- Collaborate closely with the Agency Director to ensure alignment with overall business goals.
- Represent the agency with professionalism, compassion, and enthusiasm.
- Monitor competitor activities and recommend adjustments to marketing and business development strategies as needed.
- Prepare monthly reports outlining community activities, referral relationships, and lead generation results.
Qualifications:
- Proven success in a business development, sales, or marketing role (experience in home care, senior services, or home health required).
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and initiatives independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable with public speaking and presenting to groups.
- Passion for working with seniors and making a positive difference in the community.
- Valid driver's license and driving record required for local travel.
