Eligibility: Humanity in Action Senior Fellows are strongly recommended to apply. The successful candidate must be based in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, or the United States.

We educate, inspire, and connect emerging and established leaders committed to human rights, pluralism, and democratic values. Through educational programs, public events, and a network of more than 3,000 Senior Fellows, we help people build relationships across differences and translate learning into action in their communities.
The Opportunity
Humanity in Action is seeking a responsive, organized, and community-minded Senior Fellow Network and Community Engagement Manager.
The Manager will help maintain strong connections with Senior Fellows, respond to their questions and ideas, keep network information current, and help Senior Fellows organize activities and connect with one another at the local level.
The Manager will also coordinate one virtual network program each month, such as a webinar, panel discussion, or fireside chat. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys communicating with people, building relationships, maintaining accurate information, and helping others turn ideas into action.
Responsibilities
Senior Fellow Communication and Engagement
- Monitor and respond promptly and thoughtfully to Senior Fellow emails and inquiries.
- Welcome new Senior Fellows into the network and connect them with relevant people, opportunities, and resources.
- Proactively reach out to Senior Fellows who have not recently participated in Humanity in Action activities.
- Identify opportunities to connect Senior Fellows based on their location, professional interests, expertise, or shared concerns.
- Share relevant programs, events, funding opportunities, and other ways for Senior
- Fellows to become involved.
Data Management
- Maintain accurate and current Senior Fellow records in HubSpot and other network platforms.
- Update contact information, location, employment, professional expertise, interests, affiliations, and engagement history.
- Follow up with Senior Fellows to collect missing or outdated information.
- Help ensure that Humanity in Action can use its data effectively to communicate with and strengthen the Senior Fellow network.
Monthly Virtual Programming
- Plan and coordinate one virtual program each month, such as a webinar, panel discussion, facilitated conversation, or fireside chat.
- Identify relevant topics and potential speakers from within and beyond the Senior Fellow network.
- Manage invitations, scheduling, speaker preparation, registration, and event logistics.
- Work with the communications team to promote each program.
- Conduct follow-up and maintain basic participation records after each event.
International Collaboration
- Collaborate with Humanity in Action’s national offices to share information and coordinate Senior Fellow engagement.
- Participate in relevant staff meetings and provide regular updates on network activities, participation, and emerging opportunities.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience in community organizing, alumni engagement, network building, educational programming, or a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- The ability to respond to people in a timely, thoughtful, and professional manner.
- Experience maintaining databases or managing detailed information.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- The ability to coordinate virtual events from planning through follow-up.
- Experience working independently while collaborating with an international team.
- The judgment to communicate appropriately with people from different countries, cultures, backgrounds, and professional settings.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
- Experience with Zoom, HubSpot, SuperHive, Canva, WordPress, or social media platforms is helpful but not required.
